something pink

I have had such a relaxing day yesterday,  in the morning I had a class teaching punch art with my dearest friend Brenda,  I don’t know how she puts up with me really,  she is always running around after me and she is absolutely wonderful. When you get into crafting you don’t realise how many lovely friends you will make along the way, and believe me I have got to know so many lovely people who have a passion for crafting.

On to today’s project,  I was asked to make a box similar to the 12 drawer box with an easel top, but a smaller version with 6 drawers. I got stuck right in , I love a good project. …. so I dived in and 2 hours later I designed and built the main structure,  yehhhhh, I thought and then I sat there looking at it and it took me another 2 hours just to think about how I was going to decorate it…..silly heh….so I went for simple,  I was given loads of info by the lady who ordered it,  but I think sometimes you can over load it. At the moment I have a thing for owls, so I dug out my owl punch and make cute embellishment. Here is the finished project

I think you can safely say it’s pink, I hope the little girl this has been made will treasure this as she gets older, she will be able to put all her little trinkets into the drawers for safe keeping.

Hope this will give you a little inspiration to have a go at making this or have a look at my 12 drawer box with an easel top for a bigger project.

Don’t forget to hop over to my other blog if you would like to purchase anything from Stampin up, maybe you can get the owl punch, if you do I will send you a list of projects on what to make with that punch.

Thanks for stopping by.

A Minion or 2

A couple of weeks ago my Daughter asked me to make a few birthday cards for the children to give out, and 2 of them had to be minions, as usual I forgot…..nothing new there 🙂

So I sat myself down and thought what could I do in a hurry, I wanted them simple………so out came the punches and some scraps of paper and got to work……. 20 minutes later …………….ta dah

What do you think????? pretty cute aren’t they….. I’m pleased with the outcome and I am sure the precipitants with love them.

These cards are so simple to make so give it a go…..then maybe next time you can challenge yourself to this

Now I can safely say this took more than 20 mins….. I think the challenge for me was the dog…. I can never remember what it is called, but I done it and my Grandson loved it………..I think you can tell that by the smile on his face 🙂

Easel card with a drawer

Hi everyone it’s been a few days since I wrote on my blog….

I have been so busy making all my swaps for the

Regional event in Telford for Stampin up demonstrators.

I will have a few goodies to show you that I am sure you will all love,

but be patient can’t show them yet!

WATCH THIS SPACE :0)

On to todays project….I thought I would share with you a project that I made a while back.

I made a few of these for small Christmas presents……….(wow doesn’t time fly)

these little boxes are so simple to make… all our ladies who joined in with the class made

some beautiful creations……..I do love to see how others finish off their projects its amazing how

1 project with the same design look so different.

So lets take a look at the ones we made with a calendar on….Image

I filled the drawers of these with homemade chocolate truffles….yummy..

they made the ideal little gift to give out to friends.

I also made another same style but with a different front, I wanted one to sit on my side

that I could put little bits in that I didn’t want to throw away or lose…. which does happen on my desk 🙂

Don’t you just love the bird….this is a punch from Stampin up and I use it all the time, It’s amazing what

you can make from one punch.

Will save that for another day.

3-D pop up card
Hi everyone I first saw this card on
“A Stamp Above”
and fell in love with it
I will post Kelly’s instructions so you can all have a go at making this beautiful card.

you will need: a piece of cardstock measuring 5 7/8″ x 8 7/8″
score @ 5/8″, 4″, 4 5/8″ & 8 1/8
fold on score lines

next you will need;  a piece of cardstock measuring 8″ x 8″ & the envelope punch
Line 1 side up @ 2 3/4″ punch & score
Turn line up score line then punch and score repeat on the following 2 sides
starting on the first side again line up @ 3 1/2″ punch & score turn and line up score line punch and score                                            repeat on last 2 sides

snip the small tabs on either side of the small triangle
* (fold each side on the outer score line only)
* fold the score line then fold over so it folds on the second crease line repeat on all 4 sides
on one of the small sides folld on the 1st line insert into the punch board line it up @ 2 1/8″ punch, this is the front                                of the draw
stick tabs in to make draw then stick flaps down
Optional: cut a piece of cardstock 3 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ this is the base in your drawer
cut 3 1 x3 1/4″ strips score @ 1/2″ only slightly fold as you don’t want this to
lie flat glue one side and stick to the inside of your drawer, you can leave a space at the back to put a gift card if                                  you would like, place all 3 equally apart as you can see in my picture.
Decorate with whatever you would like, once finished I put my drawer in backwards or you can fold the 3 sections                                  as you put the drawer in.
I hope you can understand my instructions if not message me.

If you do not have an envelope punch board you can order one through me
just click on the link to stampin up blog or message me

Stampin up regional event

I finally got the go ahead from my dearest hubby today to book myself into Telford regional event,  I was so excited I fired up my laptop to book myself in to find my internet was not working 😦 why does it always play up when you want to do something.

After about 10 tries if finally went through yippee….for me and my best friend Brenda.

I have been asked if I could make peppa pig with punch art…..well  of course, I had to have a go…

I still think it needs tweaking here or there but have made this one to show

Now ignore the mouth  …it didn’t go to plan.

punch art

The months are flying past now, I can’t believe we are mid April already.

Anyhow tonight I thought I had better make a start on my grandaughter’s birthday cards, I don’t just have to make 1, I have to make 7, so you can imagine just how difficult it is to do…I mean normally 1 or 2 is easy to the same recipient but 7….. That’s why I have to start early, I get brain lock half way through.

Just to get an insight into what my little Olivia loves………horses……. she is fanatical over them I think it will be an expensive hobby that my daughter will have to fork out.

I love punch art and believe me have made quite a few this year for both grandsons,  a while back I found a picture of a punch art horse I loved it so much I thought I would make one, I can’t remember who made it but would like to thank you for such a brilliant idea.

Onto the card…..

Isn’t it sweet,

Now I just have to make 6 more
